Strengthening Partnerships: SSCC Chairman Meets with Global Peace Foundation and Misión Presidencial in Asunción

Asunción, Paraguay – On October 31 and November 4, 2024, Viktor Sebek, Chairman of the South-South Cooperation Council (SSCC), held significant meetings with Mr. Thomas Field, Caribbean and Latin American President of the Global Peace Foundation, and President of Misión Presidencial, alongside Olinda Salguero, SSCC Board Member, Representative for Central America of Global Peace Foundation, and Vice President of Misión Presidencial.

The discussions were attended by representatives from Chaco Vivo and the Instituto del Desarrollo de Pensamiento Patria Soñada, focusing on shared goals of peacebuilding, sustainable development, and fostering stronger ties between the organizations. These meetings underscored the importance of regional collaboration in addressing global challenges.

Invitation to Misión Presidencial’s 15th Anniversary

Dr. Sebek was honored with an invitation to attend the 15th Anniversary of Misión Presidencial, to be held in Asunción from November 28 to 30, 2024. This milestone event will celebrate the organization's contributions to leadership and governance in Latin America.

Cultural Appreciation

SSCC expresses its gratitude to Misión Presidencial for organizing a special Paraguayan harp concert on November 4, a gesture that highlighted the rich cultural heritage of Paraguay and strengthened the bonds of friendship between the two organizations.

Dr. Sebek praised the hospitality and reaffirmed SSCC's commitment to supporting initiatives that align with its mission to promote peace and sustainable development through regional and global cooperation.
