The SSCC Chairman recently visited the Garden of Hope, a powerful ensemble of monumental sculptures by Hedva Ser, SSCC Board Member and UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador for Cultural Diplomacy, located in Kraków, Poland.
This moving work of art honors the memory of Jewish victims and resistance fighters from World War II, while also symbolizing resilience and the hope for a better future. Installed in a city preserved in its Renaissance grandeur, Kraków is recognized by UNESCO as a cultural heritage site of humanity. Remarkably, the city remained largely intact during WWII, as Nazi forces planned to make it a German capital in Poland and chose not to destroy it during their retreat.
The Garden of Hope stands as both a tribute to the past and a call to build a more compassionate and just world through art and remembrance.
