SSCC welcomed the invitation from the Government of Uzbekistan to Dr. Sebek to present a paper at an important International Forum, under patronage of UNESCO about Central Asia at the Crossroads of World Civilization.

At the conference, SSCC Chairman also had discussions with Mrs. Gabriela Ramos, Deputy Director General of UNESCO for Social and Human Sciences, H.E. Mr.Anar Karimov, the Minister of Culture of Azerbaijan, H.E. A. Abdukhakimov, the Minister of Tourism and Vice Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, H.E. Ozodbek Nazarbekov, the Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan and a series of experts from Spain, France, Iran, and the UK.

The Conference agreed to initiate the -so-called “Khiva Process” to ensure continuity of work following adoption of the Khiva Resolution on 15th September.
