SSCC Chairman is appointed special adviser to Pan African Heritage Museum in Ghana
SSCC is pleased to announce that its Chairman, Dr. Sebek, has been appointed special adviser to Pan African Heritage Museum which will be built in Ghana to showcase the greatness of African cultural heritage prior to colonization by European countries. It will serve not only as a splendid tool of cultural diplomacy, allowing scholars and students from Africa to appreciate tremendous legacy their forbearers had left to global culture, but also to allow African diaspora to connect with “mother” Africa. This follows in the steps of the decision of Government of Ghana to mark the year 2019 (which commemorated 400 years since the arrival of African slaves to America) – as a “Year of Return”. On that occasion more than one million people visited Ghana. Dr. Sebek has a long history of association with Ghana (where he spent two years as undergraduate student) and Africa where he worked or visited 37 out of 55 countries on the continent.
