Chairman of SSCC met with the majority of the Board of Directirs in Bogota to discuss the current and future programs of SSCC:

In particular:

1. SSCC will be making a proposal for an internationl forum on security of cities in Bogota, but also including  other cities in Central and South America, in Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Ecuador, Argentina, but also in Asia and in Africa;
2. Teams of SSCC members and allies are also preparing for a side event at the COP29 on Climate Change in Baku in November 2024. The allies include Climate Institute in Washington, and EARTHSAVERS, UNESCO Arfist for Peace in the Philippines.
3. SSCC will also beging wriitng proposals on a programme on equality an inclusion centring on indigenous peoples and peoples of African origin.
4. Together with UNESCO, SSCC is planning cootinuation of the programme on culture as tool for peace in Africa and
5. In the context of the emerging programme Music for Peace, SSCC is organizing a concert of a singer and her orchestra from the Balkans (Biljana Krstic and Bistrik orchestra) who will peform in Bogota, and possibly in other Colombian cities in October 2024, with integration with Colombian artists in the second part of the programme.
