SSCC and Partners Showcase Culture and Techno-Art for Climate Action at COP29

At a dynamic side event during COP29 in Baku, the South-South Cooperation Council (SSCC) joined forces with partners to present an inspiring vision of how culture and techno-art can catalyze both climate action and global peace efforts. The event, titled “Arts & Culture in Climate Action: Launching the SDGs Peace and Climate ResiliArt Olympics,” highlighted the transformative role of cultural heritage and technological innovation in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

This collaborative initiative brought together leading organizations and voices, including:

  • Earthsavers Philippines, UNESCO Artist for Peace.
  • Climate Institute, an advocacy leader in sustainable policies.
  • Energies 2050 and Art’s Planet, champions of cultural and technological integration.

Speakers discussed how art, culture, and innovative technologies can foster stronger communities, enhance climate education, and inspire action across borders. The session featured prominent panelists like Stéphane Pouffary, Cecile Alvarez, Viktor Sebek, and Nasir Khattak.
