February is the Black History Month/. University of Alberta hosted Cecil Foster (Feb 11) and Celina Caesar-Chavennes (Feb 26).Professor Knight was invited (Feb 23) to give a BHM address to M. E. LaZerte High School (an inner city High School with a diverse ethnic population) to a large audience of students and teachers. On the same day,he addressed the Provincial government Members of the Legislature and invited community guest on challenging anti-Black Racism and celebrating the successes of black Albertans. The Lieutenant Governor was in attendance, along with the Premier, the Solicitor General and the Minister of Culture, Multiculturalism and Status of Women.
