Following an earlier meeting on the margins of UNESCO II Forum against Racism and Discrimination in Mexico City, Minister Vargas Sanchez invited Dr. Sebek to a ceremony in the city of Guaranda to mark the launch of projects on the eve of launch in Paris of UNESCO Decade of Indigenous languages. Dr. Sebek also briefed the Minister, the Deputy Minister and the Governor of Bolivar province on the nascent forthcoming SSCC network on indigenous and afro descendent people and invited Minister Sanchez to participate in the network.
