On September 9, 2022, it was a great honour for me to inaugurate the Tree of Peace in Abu Dhabi, on the sidelines of the International Conference on Women, Peace and Security in Umm Al Emarat Park. The Tree of Peace is a gift from his highness Sheikh Said Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Interior of United Arab Emirates to the Mother of Nations, Her highness Fatima Bin Mubarak. This Tree of Peace is the 17th one I inaugurated around the world, and it inspired the new program of UNESCO entitled "The Road to Peace", sheltering a program about Interfaith and Intercultural Dialogue, and was supported by 77 member states at the last UNESCO Executive Board on May 7th, 2022. I am tracing the Road to Peace by planting the Tree of Peace around the world in order to create a universal path of dialogue and tolerance, but also for Peace education, especially for the younger generations. #treeofpeace #unesco
