SSCC, with its growing work in Africa, is delighted to welcome a distinguished new member of its policy advisory Board, Dr. Damien Pwono, from the Democratic Republic of Congo (Kinshasa).

Dr. Pwono most recently served as the Deputy Chief of Staff at the Ministry of International Cooperation, Regional Integration and Francophonie in the Democratic Republic of Congo. He previously served as the Chief Advisor to the President’s Special Envoy to the USA in the Office of the Head of State, Special Envoy Bureau and as senior adviser to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. He was also worked for the Aspen Institute, Ford Foundation and Rockefeller Foundation. He currently also serves as the Professor of Music, Cultural Management and cultural Diplomacy SSCC at the National Institute of Arts in Kinshasa.

SSCC looks forward to working closely with Dr. Pwono, especially through its office for Africa under Ladi Nylander.
